Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales growth in the commercial and industrial market. The role is remote nationwide with approximately 50% travel, serving electrical power-distribution customers across the United States.

You will prospect, develop relationships, and manage the full sales cycle from initial discovery to closing, selling transformers, switchgear, and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of successful sales experience in the electrical power-distribution industry, five or more years preferred.
• Experience selling to non-utility commercial and industrial accounts.
• Outside sales or business-development experience with direct prospecting and closing responsibility.
• Working knowledge of transformers, switchgear, or related low-, medium-, and high-voltage power-distribution equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory and account strategy focused on bookings, revenue, and new-customer goals.
• Proactively identify, prospect, and secure new commercial and industrial customers through outbound calling, networking, referrals, events, site visits, and targeted development.
• Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Manage the complete sales process from discovery through quotation, negotiation, and order closure.
• Sell transformers, switchgear, voltage regulators, reclosers, and related power-distribution equipment.
• Expand business within strategic accounts by identifying upcoming projects and service needs.
• Develop relationships with key decision-makers and convert them into sales.
• Coordinate with estimating, engineering, operations, procurement, and project-management teams to deliver solutions.
