Job summary
Kimmel & Associates is seeking a Building Automation Engineer to support remote work across Wisconsin, focusing on HVAC and electrical automation projects. You will develop, program, commission, and document BAS systems, interpret drawings, and coordinate with project teams.
Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s or associate degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or related field and 5+ years in BAS/HVAC controls. Travel to sites as needed and a long-term career with a family-owned contractor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Mechanical/Electrical/CS or related field.
- 5+ years of experience with building automation, HVAC controls, or related field.
- Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and control drawings.
- Strong understanding of BAS technologies and standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop, program, and implement building automation and HVAC control systems.
- Support system integration, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Interpret mechanical, electrical, and control drawings.
- Develop and review control drawings, submittals, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, technicians and stakeholders.
- Stay current with BAS technologies and industry standards.
