Agency seeks a British Sign Language Specialist to help train and evaluate AI language models. You will verify linguistic accuracy, flag cultural issues, and document error traces from BSL conversations and tasks.

Ideal candidates hold degrees in Deaf Studies/Linguistics, RID certification, and have strong BSL grammar, non-manuals, and fingerspelling skills. This is a remote, mid-senior contract role with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Degree in Deaf Studies, Sign Language Interpreting, or Linguistics
• Experience evaluating BSL models and linguistic data
• Demonstrated ability to document errors and provide actionable feedback

Responsabilités

• Challenge BSL model outputs for linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness
• Document failure modes and reproducible traces for model hardening
• Converse with the model on real-world BSL scenarios and theoretical topics
• Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics
