JOB DESCRIPTION

What does a BSA/AML Analyst do at Green Dot?

As the BSA/AML Analyst, you will be responsible for using transactional monitoring, data & analytical skills to ensure GDC’s BSA/AML/OFAC program complies with federal regulations. You will help identify, assess, and defend against emerging financial threats to our card and account holders, as well as from our products and services. You will also work to enhance process and team efficiency across all Green Dot payment platforms, products, and services.

As a BSA/AML Analyst, you can look forward to:

  • Analyzing transaction monitoring reports to determine when enhanced due diligence or investigations are warranted, and taking appropriate action based on activity analysis.
  • Employing your judgment in all aspects of BSA/AML functions.
  • Fulfilling regulatory requirements such as filing SARs, CTRs, and maintaining proper documentation.
  • Developing expertise on BSA/AML/OFAC controls, systems, and data sources at Green Dot.
  • Reviewing reports and recommending process enhancements to better capture unusual activity while reducing false positives.
  • Using analytical skills to follow leads, link related activities, and uncover trends in fraudulent behavior.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in BSA/AML/OFAC activities within the financial services industry.
  • Experience in financial crime investigations, money laundering monitoring, or related BSA/AML activities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Highly organized, efficient, and professional.
  • Extremely detail-oriented.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience writing SARs.
  • Experience in money transfer or fintech sectors.
  • Regulatory experience.
  • SQL skills.
  • Experience creating management reports and presentations.

Position Type: Regular

Pay Range: The targeted base salary is $55,600 to $83,400 per year, depending on qualifications, expertise, and location.
