Job summary

NASCAR is seeking a Remote Broadcast Engineer to oversee the setup, testing and operation of broadcast equipment in the field. You will deploy, troubleshoot and ensure systems are operational prior to broadcasts.

Essential duties include managing transmission paths, coordinating with vendors, and handling DANTE audio networks. Expect heavy travel (90%), with a strong IT and broadcast systems background.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent
• Minimum of six years’ experience in Broadcast Engineering or equivalent
• Mobile production truck experience preferred
• Proficient with company hardware/software
• Understanding of IT in broadcast environments
• Knowledge of broadcast equipment such as scopes, routers, cameras, multiviewers, EVS

Responsibilities

• Oversee setup, testing and operation of broadcast-transmission equipment for remote broadcasts.
• Route and test transmission paths between track and production facility; ensure operational paths.
• Maintain remote broadcasting equipment; troubleshoot and perform on-the-spot repairs; liaise with vendors for repairs.
• Manage intercom and router configurations; deploy and test Tally GPI closures; manage DANTE audio network and devices.
• Maintain backup records of ASI signals.
• Collaborate with partners to obtain and distribute feeds; optimize processes for stakeholders.
• Travel: 90% including weekends.
