Job summary

Jobot, a civil engineering consulting firm based near Indianapolis, is seeking a remote engineer to lead bridge design and rehabilitation projects across Indiana. You will work on INDOT-focused transportation initiatives with a lean, technically focused team providing autonomy and direct project ownership.

The role requires experience with bridge design tools and knowledge of INDOT workflows, plus a Civil/Structural engineering degree. PE is preferred but not mandatory for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience managing bridge design, rehabilitation, or structural transportation projects.
• Familiarity with INDOT standards, procedures, and transportation project workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or structural engineering.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and project schedules.
• Proficiency with bridge design tools, structural analysis software, or CAD platforms.
• Ability to manage project budgets, client communication, and technical deliverables.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead INDOT-focused bridge projects with an experienced engineering team.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and project schedules.
• Ensure compliance with INDOT standards and procedures.
• Deliver clear technical reports and maintain client communication.
