Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer in Illinois to lead complex bridge projects within a growing transportation practice. This remote opportunity targets qualified Illinois DOT bridge professionals, offering leadership responsibilities and career development.

Ideal candidates have a PE license, 8–15+ years of bridge design and inspection experience, and proficiency with MicroStation and Bentley systems. This role supports expansion across Illinois and neighboring markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• PE license required; SE license preferred.
• 8–15+ years of bridge engineering and transportation structure design experience.
• Strong experience with IDOT bridge projects and Illinois standards.
• Proficiency designing steel, reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete bridges.
• Experience with bridge inspections, rehabilitation projects, culverts, retaining walls.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on bridge projects.
• Manage project delivery from planning to completion.
• Mentor staff and develop capabilities.
• Support expansion of regional operations in Illinois.
