Job summary

Thimble Alterations is seeking a skilled bridal and formalwear alterations contractor who can hem gowns, fit fabrics, and deliver precise measurements. You will work with structured gowns, lace, beading, linings, boning, and zippers, coordinating timelines with clients.

This remote role offers the flexibility to accept only the jobs that fit your schedule and to grow your client base and profile reviews through the platform.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women''s formalwear alterations.
• Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring.
• Machine + hand sewing proficiency.
• Professional communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses with hems, bustles, zippers and fittings.
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements and communicate timelines clearly.
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings.
• Work with structured bridal gowns (layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle).
• Handle requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear as they come through the platform.
