Job summary

Goodwin, based in Columbus, OH, is seeking a meticulous Bookkeeper to maintain financial records and day-to-day accounting operations under the Head of Finance. You'll work to keep transactions organized, reconciliations current, and company records accurate.

You will reconcile accounts, support month-end close, assist with tax filings, and keep QuickBooks and ERP systems up to date while collaborating across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate work.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience performing reconciliations and maintaining organized financial records.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Record and categorize financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Organize and maintain accounting records, financial documentation, and company files
• Perform reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to help ensure accurate financial reporting
• Assist with Federal Excise Tax (FET) filings and payment preparation.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other day-to-day accounting activities
• Help prepare information needed for month-end close and other recurring accounting processes
• Maintain accurate records within QuickBooks, ERP systems, and Excel-based reporting
• Support special projects and other accounting initiatives as Goodwin continues to grow
• Maintain accurate financial records within QuickBooks, ERP systems, and Excel-based reporting
• Support month-end close activities and other operational accounting initiatives as the company grows
