Job summary

Scholastic is seeking motivated Sales Consultant and Event Coordinators to drive and expand Book Fair programs. You will engage school customers to maximize fair performance, build long-term partnerships, and support student literacy outcomes.

The role blends sales leadership with event execution, requiring strong communication, relationship-building, and drive to close opportunities and renewals across your territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum of three years of proven successful sales experience in territory/account management, personal selling, and customer growth.
• Proven ability to close business, influence decisions, and grow accounts.
• Experience with event management or customer-facing program execution preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with CRM or web-based software programs.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver on territory performance including fair count, revenue, and revenue per fair goals.
• Drive new bookings, maintain a strong pipeline of fairs across territory.
• Influence and close customer decisions; identify opportunities to grow accounts.
• Lead execution of fairs as high-impact events with strong customer experience.
• Manage retention, including securing rebookings and strengthening partnerships.
