Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a Bodily Injury Claims Representative to join our Claims department. The role focuses on assembling facts, evaluating coverage and loss, and negotiating settlements while delivering outstanding service to agents and insureds.

The position requires comprehensive claims experience, strong investigative skills, and the ability to interpret policy language. After in-person training, a merit-based work-from-home option may be available, with ongoing interaction

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' insurance claims experience.
• Ability to organize and conduct investigations involving complex issues.
• Ability to interpret and communicate policy language clearly.
• Use appropriate claim handling techniques to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble facts, determine coverage, evaluate loss, and adjust claims.
• Study policies, endorsements, and forms to understand coverage.
• Follow claims procedures and participate in negotiations and settlements.
• Deliver high level of customer service to agents, insureds, and others.
• Meet with people involved with claims, sometimes offsite.
• Handle investigations by phone, email, mail, and on-site.
• Maintain adjuster licenses as required by statute.
• Assist in evaluation and selection of outside counsel.
• Maintain punctual attendance at scheduled location.
