Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a Bodily Injury Claims Representative to join our Claims department in the United States. You will assemble facts, determine coverage, evaluate losses, and help settle claims with agents and insureds.

Strong investigation, policy interpretation, and communication skills are essential to reach timely decisions. After an in-person training period, you may have the flexibility for work-from-home time as defined by leadership, with continued field and on-site

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of insurance claims-related experience.
• Ability to analyze complex issues and make timely decisions.
• Strong understanding of policy language and coverage interpretation.
• Experience communicating with agents, insureds and others.

Responsibilities

• Assemble facts, determine coverage, evaluate loss amounts.
• Study insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to understand coverage.
• Follow claims handling procedures, negotiate settlements.
• Deliver high level of customer service to agents and insureds.
• Handle investigations by telephone, email, mail, and on-site as needed.
