Qualifications

• Current law student (2L, 3L) or recent JD graduate.
• Hands‑on Bluebook experience required.
• Law review or law journal editing experience preferred.
• Able to explain why a citation is wrong, not just that it is—the reasoning matters.

Responsibilities

• Review existing Bluebook and pincite grading rubrics, flag unclear or inconsistent rules.
• Identify edge cases and recommend handling.
• Create sample cite-checking tasks with correct explanations.
• Build tasks across citation types and difficulties, from formatting errors to pincite issues.
• Apply Bluebook rules consistently across submissions.
• Flag ambiguous cases to project coordinators.
• Deliver work on schedule and at required quality.
