Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Blockchain Legal Counsel for a remote fintech role spanning law and technology. You will advise on compliance, contracts, IP and governance in the crypto/blockchain space, supporting global regulatory affairs and product teams.

Ideal candidates hold a JD, are admitted to practice, and bring 5–7 years in tech/corporate/financial services law with blockchain exposure, plus strong drafting and negotiation skills for a remote setting.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
• Admission to practice law in at least one relevant jurisdiction.
• 5–7 years of legal experience, ideally with exposure to blockchain/fintech.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on blockchain tech, crypto, and digital assets.
• Advise on regulatory compliance (AML/KYC, securities laws, data privacy).
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and licenses.
• Manage IP matters related to blockchain innovations.
• Develop corporate policies for blockchain operations.
• Conduct legal research on crypto/regulatory developments.
• Support product teams with legal guidance on new initiatives.
