About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and self-motivated Remote Blockchain Engineer to join their globally distributed team. This role is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and secure blockchain solutions, including smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps). Your contributions will directly impact the architecture and functionality of our client's innovative blockchain products. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy smart contracts on various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain).
• Build and maintain decentralized applications (dApps) and integrate them with blockchain networks.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers in an all-remote setting using agile methodologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to blockchain systems and dApps.
• Continuously research and evaluate new blockchain technologies and tools to improve our solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Blockchain Engineer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of blockchain projects.
• Proficiency in smart contract development languages like Solidity.
• Experience with web3 libraries (web3.js, ethers.js) and blockchain development frameworks (e.g., Hardhat, Truffle).
• Solid understanding of blockchain architecture, consensus mechanisms, and distributed ledger technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and experience working effectively in a remote team environment.
