Bitfinex in the United States is seeking an AML Investigator to adjudicate referrals of unusual activity for timely SAR submissions or close referrals as not suspicious. The role sits in the AML Investigations Team, reporting to the Head of Investigation Team, and collaborates with Compliance and Customer Support on fraud, money laundering, and sanctions risks.

You will build industry relationships, stay current on blockchain analytics, and develop skills in AML practices, CDD/EDD, and sanctions

Competenze

• University education preferred.
• Experience in an investigative function.
• Experience using blockchain analytics tools such as Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic.
• Demonstrated AML experience incl. customer and enhanced due diligence (CDD/EDD), AML/CTF/Sanctions Investigations, SAR/STR reporting.
• Basic knowledge of blockchain technology (enhanced in the role).
• CAMS/CBP designation (Preferred).

Mansioni

• Conduct investigations assigned by the Head of Investigation Team to determine risk exposure and mitigate risks by SAR filing or account actions.
• Provide support to Customer Help Desk / Legal Team requests for investigative assistance.
• Communicate with customers, agents, and internal attorneys as applicable.
