Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Michigan is seeking a Black Organizing Program Organizer to lead community outreach and mobilization efforts. The role is based remotely with frequent travel across Michigan and will support campaigns on reproductive health, education, and access to care.

You will build power in Black communities through grassroots organizing, volunteer training, and coalition work. The position requires flexibility to work nights and weekends and is represented by UFCW.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of relevant experience in community or field organizing, political science, social justice or related work.
• Experience with voter outreach, coalitions, and grassroots advocacy is preferred.
• Familiarity with VAN and MiniVAN software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage and grow a base of Black supporters and volunteers across Michigan.
• Plan and execute field organizing campaigns, including outreach events and volunteer training.
• Coordinate with national and local Planned Parenthood teams to implement campaign strategies.
• Recruit and mobilize volunteers for political and policy advocacy efforts.
• Build relationships with elected officials and community partners to advance reproductive health goals.
