Job summary

Hut 8 is seeking an Associate for Bitcoin Mining Strategy to drive strategic growth. You will conduct market analyses, identify growth opportunities, and work with senior leadership to guide initiatives and decisions.

Key duties include building advanced financial models for ASIC acquisitions, due diligence, and drafting investment memoranda. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize profitability and execution speed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or a related field
• Direct experience in Bitcoin, Bitcoin mining, or energy is encouraged but not required
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Exceptional project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic market research to identify industry trends, competitive dynamics, and growth opportunities.
• Create and manage sophisticated financial models to evaluate ASIC acquisitions, investments, and fleet optimization.
• Prepare detailed investment memoranda and board presentations to support decisions.
• Assist in structuring and negotiating deal terms with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, operations, and corporate development to ensure seamless execution.
• Track performance of the mining fleet and develop dashboards for senior management
