Job summary

WCG is seeking a Biosafety Analyst to perform scientific review and analysis for institutions such as hospitals, clinics, and laboratories to support IBC approvals. You will work on human gene transfer studies and related biosafety duties, coordinating with IBC Specialists and preparing documentation for reviews.

The role requires a Bachelor's in life sciences, 2+ years in biotech or clinical research, and knowledge of NIH Guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a clinical, pharmaceutical, or biomedical research setting.
• Basic understanding of biomedical terminology, human disease, microbiology and bloodborne pathogens, and clinical safety measures.

Responsibilities

• Analyze training, facilities, and operations of institutions for IBC review.
• Provide education on NIH Guidelines for Recombinant and Synthetic Nucleic Acids research.
• Identify areas in biosafety programs requiring improvement to comply with regulations.
• Ensure all studies are reviewed by IBC prior to approval expiration.
• Assist in teleconference-based orientations and training for new clients on IBCs and NIH Guidelines.
