Job summary

WCG Clinical, Inc. is seeking a Biosafety Analyst to provide scientific review and analysis for institutions undergoing IBC approval processes for human gene transfer studies and related lab work.

You will work with IBC Specialists, prepare documentation, and contact institutions and committee members to ensure compliance and timely approvals. A bachelor’s degree in life sciences is required with 2+ years in a clinical or biomedical setting.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical, pharmaceutical, or biomedical research setting.
• Basic understanding of biomedical terminology, human disease, microbiology and bloodborne pathogens, and clinical safety measures.

Responsibilities

• Analyze training, facilities, and operations of institutions to prepare for IBC review of human gene transfer studies and related laboratory projects.
• Educate institutions on NIH Guidelines and related regulations.
• Assist institutions in identifying areas to improve biosafety programs to meet regulations and standards.
• Ensure all assigned studies are reviewed by the IBC prior to expiration of approval.
• Identify training opportunities for new clients and conduct teleconference orientations on IBCs and NIH Guidelines.
