Job summary

Computercraft is seeking a Biomedical Curator to support the National Library of Medicine at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. This full-time role focuses on reviewing MEDLINE citations indexed with MeSH in the PMDM system and refining indexing as needed.

Responsibilities include manual indexing, gene linking to NCBI Gene, and QA tasks such as constructing PubMed searches. Qualifications include a biology degree and familiarity with controlled vocabularies; remote-eligible

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in biology or biomedical sciences.
• Knowledge of biomedical terminology and MeSH vocabulary.
• Ability to annotate citations using controlled vocabularies.
• Ability to obtain public trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review machine-indexed MEDLINE citations and adjust indexing per policy.
• Manually index MEDLINE citations with MeSH in the PMDM system.
• Gene linking to NCBI Gene database.
• QA tasks: construct PubMed searches and submit batch corrections.
