Job summary

Theiagen Genomics is seeking a Bioinformatics Analyst II to support development and expansion of its bioinformatics solutions for pathogen genomics. This remote-US role works under the Public Health Team Lead, focusing on core functionality, stability, and project delivery.

The ideal candidate holds an advanced degree and has hands-on experience with NGS data analysis, genomic epidemiology, and scalable workflows using Terra.bio, Galaxy, Nextflow, and Snakemake.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in bioinformatics or related field.
• Proven experience applying bioinformatics workflows to pathogen genomics.
• Strong coding and scripting skills; ability to work with NGS data.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain bioinformatics solutions for pathogen genomics.
• Lead training workshops and support external partners on genomic investigations.
• Collaborate with the Public Health Team Lead to track milestones and outcomes.
• Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in data analysis.
