Theiagen Genomics is seeking a Bioinformatics Analyst III to lead high-impact pathogen genomics initiatives within the Public Health Team. You will mentor staff, oversee analyses, and drive scalable solutions in cloud-based environments while coordinating with partners.

The role requires senior scientific leadership, strong experience with NGS/multi-omics, and proficiency in SQL/Python/R, Nextflow, Snakemake, and WDL. This is a fully remote role with public health impact across diverse partners.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional bioinformatics experience.
• Experience with NGS and multi-omics data analysis.
• Programming in SQL/Python/R.
• Experience with bioinformatics tools, databases, and workflow systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior scientific and operational leader for the Public Health Team.
• Lead complex, high-impact initiatives and partner engagements.
• Provide scientific oversight for analyses, reports, and deliverables.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to SOPs and training.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure reproducibility and quality.
