Atlantic Constructors, Inc. in Fredericksburg, VA, is seeking a Pipe Designer/Detailer to model, coordinate, and prepare detailed drawings for mechanical systems using AutoCAD and Revit.

The role requires 2–5 years in mechanical piping or 5+ years in BIM with Revit, CAD MEP fabrication, and Navisworks Manage; you’ll manage drawings, respond to RFIs, and support on-site teams as needed. This full-time position offers strong benefits and remote work option for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in the mechanical piping and process pipe trade or equivalent vocational training.
• 5+ years BIM experience using Revit, Fabrication CAD MEP, and Navisworks Manage.
• Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Generates mechanical pipe models using project specs, drawings, models, control diagrams, submittals, RFIs, and modeling software.
• Updates drawings, models, specs, RFIs, change orders, and submittals as the project progresses.
• Collaborates with build and design teams to prevent construction errors from design flaws.
• Manages time and multiple projects in a fast-paced deadline environment.
• Interacts with trades, PMs, site supers, and shop personnel to identify problems and support decisions.
• Generates and communicates RFIs for projects and trade specifics.
• Produces spools, prefabrication drawings, site install maps, and control documentation.
