Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Technician to support construction and engineering teams through advanced 3D modeling and coordination. This role involves creating and maintaining BIM models for electrical design, integrating multidisciplinary data, and performing clash detection. Proficiency in BIM tools and strong communication skills are essential. The position allows for remote work or can be based at our Lexington, KY HQ or Greenville, SC office, fostering a collaborative environment focused on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in creating and updating 3D models and generating 2D drawings.
• Understanding of building codes and industry standards.
• Ability to produce visualizations and reports for decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Creating and updating detailed 3D models of electrical systems using BIM software.
• Integrating design information from various disciplines into the 3D model.
• Identifying and resolving spatial conflicts using clash detection tools.
• Generating drawings, schedules, and visualizations to support construction.
• Maintaining the BIM model current with design changes.
• Collaborating with project managers and engineers for alignment.
• Providing visualizations and reports for project execution.

Skills

Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Evolve, ACC, Solidworks, or Navisworks

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Attention to detail

Ability to create/modify basic Revit families

Ability to analyze and interpret design information

Sound understanding of construction methods and terminology

Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
