Parnall Law Firm is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join a team focused on recovering maximum dollars for clients. You will oversee bill submission, ensure timely payments from insurance carriers, and help clients receive every dollar owed, with integrity and accuracy.

In this remote-friendly role, you will follow established processes, monitor metrics, and coordinate with medical providers, case managers, and staff to support efficient settlements.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of billing, collections, accounts receivable/payable, bookkeeping, or legal billing experience.
• Experience reading or reconciling invoices, statements, or ledgers is a plus.
• Familiarity with insurance terminology (EOBs, claims, co-pays) is a plus.
• Strong numerical & analytical skills with accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Follow up with providers to ensure bills are submitted to the correct carrier.
• Maintain records of all bills, payments, adjustments, and balances to facilitate discounts and recovery.
• Coordinate benefits with Med Pay and health insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, etc.
• Open claims and submit documents for Medicare and Tricare benefits.
• Maintain the client's Medicare portal and related systems.
• Answer incoming calls via the First Call Group.
• Monitor dashboard metrics and KPIs; keep them in top shape.
