Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is hiring a Credit Processor to research, analyze and resolve undistributed and credit transactions within the EPIC system. You will verify insurance, patient, and guarantor information, and use workflows, email, Excel and Word to ensure accurate data handling.

Working 40 hours per week with a remote work option, you will need strong organizational, analytical and communication skills, plus revenue cycle experience; Epic knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and one-year revenue cycle work experience required.
• Experience in account analysis, credit resolution, billing and insurance follow-up preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance payor remittances and Epic system knowledge is helpful.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
• Independent work capability under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Process undistributed and credit transactions per department workflows.
• Verify insurance, patient, and guarantor information; review sources and update data.
• Maintain Completed Account Contribution totals daily (productivity).
• Achieve an audit accuracy rate of >=97%.
• Review weekly HPF insurance refund letters and process as required.
