Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking a Credit Processor to research, analyze and resolve undistributed and credit transactions within the EPIC system. You will verify insurance, patient, and guarantor information and coordinate with carriers to update demographics and coverage.

The role requires accuracy, independence, and the ability to meet deadlines in a remote-friendly setting. Responsibilities include processing diverse credit transactions, maintaining dashboards, and ensuring high audit accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and one year revenue cycle work experience.
• Experience with insurance payor remittances and Epic system knowledge is helpful.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Desirable: dependable, team-focused, goal-oriented with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Process undistributed/credit transactions per department workflows (transfers, posting, offsets, refunds).
• Verify insurance, patient, and guarantor information using workflows, email, Excel and Word.
• Maintain and report Completed Account Contribution totals; monitor productivity.
• Audit accuracy at or above 97% on reviews.
• Handle refunds and reversals per procedures and coordinate with other departments when needed.
