Job summary

Mathematica in Ann Arbor is seeking a Billing Coordinator responsible for end-to-end billing and collections. You will prepare client invoices and monitor receivables, collaborating with the Billing Manager, project teams and clients to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Accounting required; Bachelors degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in a business environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint preferred.
• Knowledge of Excel, Word and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to handle many projects and tasks with tact and persistence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and reconcile monthly invoices for federal government and private clients in accordance with contract requirements.
• Prepare annual invoices for Indirect Cost Rate Variances.
• Reconcile the Unbilled Receivables balances.
• Update and prepare a schedule of all projects needing final invoices.
• Prepare routine schedules and reports including; journal entries, year-end supporting audit schedules.
• Review and reconcile accounting reports and records to original source documents and related supporting material.
• Answer inquiries and investigate questions from internal project teams and clients.
• Manage accounts receivable aging and follow-up with clients to ensure payment in a timely manner.

• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.
