UNC Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Financial Representative to handle high-volume inbound billing inquiries and payments, supporting both hospital and physician billing. You will resolve insurance questions, explain EOBs, and help patients set up payment plans with careful privacy practices.

The role requires two years in hospital/physician billing, strong communication, and robust knowledge of UB-04/HCFA-1500s. Hybrid work with remote and possible onsite in NC, 40 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Two years of hospital or physician insurance experience.
• Strong knowledge of UB-04, HCFA-1500s, and EOB interpretation.
• Experience with payments, payment plans, and collections is desired.
• Ability to de-escalate patient concerns and communicate clearly.

Responsabilités

• Respond to inbound calls regarding billing, payments, insurance, and financial assistance.
• Assist patients with payments, payment plans, and understanding EOBs.
• Verify coverage and request itemized bills; manage payroll deductions, refunds, and charity care apps.
• Initiate outreach to resolve delinquent accounts and high-balance follow-ups.
• May support MyUNCChart messages and other self-pay workflows.
• Document all interactions in CRM and follow up on unresolved issues.
• Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
