Job summary

Avera Health is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Associate to verify, submit and adjudicate patient billing information and reconcile accounts receivable remittances. The role involves resolving billing input issues, assisting with third-party claims and ensuring compliance with reimbursement requirements.

You will provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in daily cash management and deposits.

Qualifications

• Associate's Technical degree or 1-2 years of related experience.
• 1-3 years related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to external and internal customers concerns regarding accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
• Investigate and correct information to ensure complete accuracy.
• Direct preparation, filing and follow-up of third party payor insurance reimbursement claims.
• Verify bill accuracy and initiate appeal information when appropriate.
• Collaborate with other departments for follow-up and timely resolution.
