Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas, Inc. is seeking a BI Data Scientist to analyze large, complex data sets and build predictive models that guide strategic decisions. You will collaborate with finance, actuarial, marketing, and IT teams to deliver data-driven insights.

The role supports a flexible work policy (remote, hybrid, or onsite) with relocation within the Kansas/Missouri region. A strong background in Python, SQL, and data visualization is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field required.
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a data analyst, data scientist, or related roles required.
Experience with healthcare delivery and health insurance industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Analyze large and complex data sets from various sources to identify trends and correlations.
Develop, test, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models and scenario forecasts.
Create data visualizations and dashboards for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
