Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is seeking a BI Data Scientist to analyze complex data, build predictive models, and deliver data-driven insights across finance, actuarial, underwriting, membership, marketing, data warehouse, IT, health analytics and human resources.

This position can work remote, hybrid or onsite in accordance with our Telecommuting Policy. Applicants must reside in Kansas or Missouri or be willing to relocate as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, statistics, mathematics, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a data analyst/scientist or related role.
• Healthcare knowledge or health insurance industry preferred.
• Master's degree or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large/complex data sets to identify trends and insights.
• Develop, test, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models.
• Create dashboards and visualizations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate needs into data solutions.
• Maintain documentation on data sources, models, and dashboards.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across platforms.
