Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, LLC seeks a Business Intelligence Data Modeler to design and optimize enterprise data models and semantic layers powering forecasting, analytics, and AI use cases. You will work across business and technology teams to deliver scalable analytical solutions.

You will develop Power BI dashboards and semantic models, transform data with DAX/SQL, and collaborate with data engineers to integrate sources and ensure data quality and governance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in BI, data analytics, data modeling or related area.
• Hands-on with dimensional modeling (star/snowflake) and semantic modeling.
• Strong experience with Power BI, DAX, Power Query/M and SQL.
• Experience with data warehouses or data lakes and diverse sources.
• Knowledge of data quality, governance and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize conceptual/physical data models and semantic layers.
• Translate requirements into scalable data models, KPIs, metrics, definitions.
• Develop Power BI semantic models, dashboards, reports and datasets.
• Create calculations and transformations using DAX, SQL, and Power Query/M.
• Build analytic models for forecasting, scenario and decision support.
• Profile, validate, and test data for accuracy and consistency.
• Improve model performance, storage, partitions, and refresh strategies.
• Integrate data from warehouses, lakes, and APIs with data engineering.
