AccentCare is seeking a Benefits Verification Specialist to verify insurance eligibility and coordinate benefits for hospice and palliative patients. This remote CST role offers a daytime schedule (10:30 am–7:00 pm CST) and compensation from $23.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

You will verify authorizations, interpret plan benefits (Medicare, MA, Medicaid, commercial), assist reverifications, and collaborate with the claims team on denials and adjustments.

Qualifications

• Verify insurance eligibility through payer websites, portals and direct payer calls.
• Minimum 2-3 years of insurance verification as primary responsibility.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in hospice or physician office benefit verifications.
• Commitment to hospice and palliative philosophy of care.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Interpret plan benefits for hospice and palliative care patients (e.g., Medicare, MA, Medicaid, commercial).
• Assist on reverifications throughout the month, ensuring our members are still active.
• Work with the claims team on denials, corrections, and adjustments and reduction of bad debt due to policy limitation.
