Job summary

Cardinal Health in Rhode Island is seeking a Benefits Eligibility and Authorization associate to support medical billing, reimbursement and client inquiries. You will interact with physicians, review documentation and resolve issues with attention to detail.

This full-time role requires at least a high school diploma and experience in healthcare or call centers. You will work Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM EST, with benefits including health plans, 401k and paid time off.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred.
• Basic math skills preferred.
• Medical and Healthcare experience preferred.
• Call Center Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Physician interactions (verbal calls, clinical prescribing questions, diagnosis validation, outbound fax resolution, etc)
• Reviews and executes according to departmental SOPs for medical documentation
• High attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• Achieve productivity measures and maintain standardized quality metrics
• Identify, support and demonstrate the Company's culture and values to ensure quality service to both internal and external customers
