Job summary

WEA Member Benefits seeks a Benefits Consultant to represent personal insurance and financial service programs to school district officials, union members, and district staff. The role acts as the relationship manager for assigned districts, securing agreements and coordinating enrollment activities, while increasing program participation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field or commensurate experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of successful sales performance.
• Commitment to excellence in member service and other Member Benefits values.
• Excellent consultative selling skills and the ability to consult with members regarding programs.
• Current Wisconsin Property and Casualty license or FINRA 6 and 63.
• Current Wisconsin Life and Health Licenses or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Knowledge of 403(b) and 408(a) regulations and Wisconsin Retirement System concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead meetings with school district officials to introduce programs and secure participation agreements.
• Coordinate on-site visits and webinars and arrange enrollments with consultants and staff.
• Build relationships with key publics to boost program participation.
• Consult with program participants on retirement and investments needs.
• Liaise between school district administration on 403(b) plans and RIS programs.
• Educate staff on changes in rules and eligibility during meetings and mailings.
• Present programs to district employees and advise on savings goals; refer contacts for enrollment.
• Create presentations on RIS programs and investments via webcasts and other channels.
