Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Holdings is hiring a Benefits Administrator to manage core benefit programs from home in Orange County, CA. You will determine eligibility, enroll new hires, handle life, disability claims, and ensure compliance with HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA and state laws while coordinating with vendors.

The role requires 3–5 years of benefits administration, a bachelor’s degree, strong Excel skills, and the ability to communicate with employees and leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years of benefits administration experience; must have leave administration.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, ADA, PPACA, FMLA and DOL rules.
• Excellent Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefit programs and enrollments.
• Respond to employee inquiries on eligibility and coverage.
• Handle COBRA processing and life/disability claims.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and state laws.
• Coordinate benefit billing and liaise with carriers.
• Assist with annual Open Enrollment and communications.
• Maintain benefit records and respond to audits.
