Job summary

Hyundai Capital America is seeking an Associate, Bankruptcy to manage bankruptcy accounts and protect the company from loss across Chapter 7-13-11-12 matters nationwide. The role requires meticulous case management and adherence to policy.

You will work remotely, coordinate with customers, attorneys, and internal teams, and perform skip-tracing duties. This position offers a structured schedule with a 40-hour week and potential evenings or weekends based on workload.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years finance or bankruptcy experience, with auto-finance related experience preferred.
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Ability to multitask and independently manage time daily.
• Basic computer skills – Windows, Word and Excel.
• Strong communication skills – clearly convey thoughts to peers and customers.
• Willing to work in a remote environment.
• Heavy volume of accounts.
• Must be prepared to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Shift-based with an average of 40 hours per week; overtime may be expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage Bankruptcy Queue through review, documentation, and logging irregularities.
• Process bankruptcy documents as needed.
• Maintain detailed logs and coordinate reviews with UL on escalated issues.
• Perform skip tracing using available tools and obtain accurate information for actions.
• Communicate with customers and third parties, including attorneys, regarding bankruptcy accounts.
• Participate in coaching and development sessions; mentor others as requested.
