Job summary

SCIS seeks an Independent Contractor Coordinator to lead and oversee background investigations for federal government projects. You will manage ICs, ensuring timeliness and quality, while coordinating with the National Engagement Manager and Finance for budgets and procurement.

The role requires US citizenship, a valid security clearance, and strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills to adapt to dynamic priorities in a security-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required; relevant experience may substitute.
• Minimum of three years in background investigations.
• Ability to obtain/maintain required security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Provide management and oversight of background investigators for federal investigations.
• Monitor performance data and report to Director of Investigations.
• Collaborate with Case Assignment Coordinators on strategy based on investigator capacity.
• Attend customer meetings as a forward-facing representative.
