LaunchDarkly is seeking a Software Engineer on the SDK team to build the primary touchpoint that our customers interact with daily. You’ll work across 35+ SDKs, delivering feature-rich agents with a focus on performance, concurrency, and resiliency while following idiomatic practices for the stack.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience building libraries/packages used by other developers.
• Polyglot background with an ability to context switch between languages quickly.
• 5+ years experience with at least two of: .NET/Go/Ruby/Python/NodeJS/Java.
• Experience with C++/Erlang/Haskell/Lua is a plus.
• AI SDKs and Observability SDKs experience.
• Strong computer science fundamentals.
• Self‑starter, problem solver, and collaborative teammate.
• Strong testing background: unit, integration, load tests, and benchmarks.
• Production-ready code with maintainability and quality.

Responsibilities

• Implement new features and improvements to meet customer performance and resiliency requirements.
• Keep up to date with the latest development practices.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to drive implementation and release of major features.
• Actively maintain open-source repositories.
• Identify areas of improvement and advocate for best practices.
• Have an active voice in shaping technology and product decisions.
