Job summary

LaunchDarkly is seeking a Software Engineer for the SDK team to build the primary touchpoint customers interact with daily. You’ll work across 35+ SDKs, enabling customers to feature-flag their code with performance, concurrency, and resiliency in mind.

The role involves collaborating with engineering and product teams to deliver major features, maintaining open-source repositories, and shaping both technology and product decisions in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience building libraries and packages used by other developers.
• Polyglot background with an ability to context switch between languages quickly.
• 5+ years experience with at least two of the following: .NET/Go/Ruby/Python/NodeJS/Java.
• Experience with AI SDKs, Observability SDKs, or mobile development is a plus.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and collaborative mindset.
• Self-starter and problem solver, with open-source contributions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to SDK development across supported platforms with new features and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to release major features.
• Maintain open-source repositories actively.
• Identify areas for improvement and promote best practices.
• Influence technology and product decisions with an active voice.
