Dragos, Inc. is seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineering Manager to lead teams building microservice architectures, data pipelines, and extensible platform components. Backend Engineering is a critical dependency across the Dragos platform.

This role requires deep technical knowledge, strong leadership, and business acumen. You will manage the team responsible for backend components across the Dragos Platform.

Qualifications

• 7+ years leading and building technical teams.
• 5+ years developing software with microservice architectures.
• Hands-on software engineering background with backend design and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of modern languages; Rust preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Backend Engineering skill community and maintain team health.
• Mentor engineers and grow technical expertise and careers.
• Drive the backend vision and execution for the Dragos Platform.
• Foster collaboration among engineering leaders and with product managers.
• Provide input during design, development, testing, and release.
• Support fielded production deployments.
