Vercel is seeking a backend-leaning Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance systems using TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, SQL/NoSQL databases, and AWS.

The role offers in-office anchor days in SF, NY, London, or Berlin for nearby candidates; beyond that distance, the position is fully remote. You will ensure security and reliability across services.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of security architecture, LDAP, AD, SAML, SSO, OAuth2, OIDC, and REST/JSON.
• Experience with SQL and scalable backend services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver secure, reliable, and scalable services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale projects.
• Maintain services with on-call rotations to ensure reliability.
• Implement identity synchronization and lifecycle management (SCIM).
• Work with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Kubernetes).
• Build enterprise software using TypeScript, REST APIs, and JSON.
