Job summary

WeaveGrid, a San Francisco-based clean energy SaaS company, is seeking a seasoned backend engineer to independently design, implement, and deploy software with partner device manufacturers and utilities. You will contribute to the technical direction of the team and help raise the bar for engineering quality.

You will work with our Python backend, relational databases, and a microservice architecture, owning your area’s health, reliability, and debt reduction while collaborating with product

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant backend engineering experience.
• Experience delivering complex backend systems independently.
• Proficiency in Python or Go and building cloud-based microservices.
• Strong ownership, reliability, and software craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-quality backend services for DERMS integrations.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to deliver scalable features.
• Roll out, monitor, and improve production systems and data reliability.
• Work with containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes) on AWS.
• Participate in on-call rotations and coordinate with multiple teams.
