Job summary

Uniti Group Inc. is seeking a Software Developer II to design, develop, and support backend services and automation tools in a remote-friendly environment.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and stakeholders to deliver reliable APIs and integrations using Python and SQL. The role requires strong backend development experience, Python/SQL proficiency, and familiarity with Git-based workflows and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent engineering/technical experience.
• 3–5 years of related software development experience, or 7+ years with equivalent experience.
• Strong backend development experience in production/enterprise environments.
• Strong Python development experience and SQL skills.
• Experience building or supporting REST APIs and system integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and support software applications, APIs, and automation tools.
• Develop backend services and integrations using Python and SQL.
• Create and maintain REST APIs and service integrations with internal systems and databases.
• Write clean, secure code with good performance and logging.
• Manage work items and sprint activities in Azure DevOps.
