Job summary

pureIntegration is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and operate backend services using Java/Spring Boot and Node.js. You will build REST APIs and distributed microservices in a cloud-native, containerized environment, collaborating with engineers, tech leads, and product managers across multiple teams.

You should move between Java and Node.js codebases, apply solid CS fundamentals and distributed systems knowledge, and own issues from discovery to resolution with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or a related field.
• Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with Java/Spring and Node.js in production environments.
• Experience designing REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js.
• Build and support containerized microservices on AWS with Kubernetes/EKS.
• Apply asynchronous, reactive, or functional programming patterns where appropriate.
• Troubleshoot backend and distributed-system issues with root-cause analysis.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform preferred), and code reviews.
