Job summary

Horizon3 is seeking a Manager of the Admin Experience engineering team to lead the backend work that helps NodeZero customers administer their organizations securely and confidently. You will set team direction and shape the roadmap for user access, account hierarchies, and administration workflows.

You’ll recruit, coach, and develop engineers, balance feature delivery with reliability, and collaborate with Product and other teams to ensure scalable, secure administration across the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or equivalent.
• Experience leading software engineers delivering production backend services.
• Strong background in backend architecture, APIs, data modeling, and production operations.
• Experience with identity, access control, multi-tenant systems, account hierarchies.
• Experience hiring, onboarding, coaching, and developing engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow the Admin Experience engineering team.
• Shape roadmap for user access, account hierarchies, and administration workflows.
• Guide backend services direction, APIs, data models, and auth boundaries.
• Balance feature delivery with production support and reliability.
• Set quality expectations with tests, observability, and runbooks.
• Recruit and onboard engineers; foster cross-team collaboration.
• Coordinate with partner teams for secure admin workflows across NodeZero.
