Job summary

Accuity is seeking an Azure Software Engineer to own the engineering, operation, and reliability of Azure application and data services across our cloud environment. The role reports to Data Architecture leadership and focuses on availability, performance, cost, and durable remediation for Azure-based production systems.

You will lead modernization efforts toward code-defined provisioning, build automation, and cross-team collaboration to support HIPAA-compliant health data platforms and FHIR

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on software or cloud engineering experience.
  • Deep experience with Azure application services, including Azure Functions, APIs, integration services, and storage.
  • Experience with health data standards and PHI protection in regulated environments.
  • Experience with disaster recovery design, failover testing, and production incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain Accuity’s Azure application and data services, including Azure Functions, APIs, integration and messaging services, and supporting components.
  • Own the engineering of Accuity’s health data and FHIR services, including ingestion, transformation, and integration with clinical and revenue cycle applications.
  • Build and maintain integrations with third-party clinical data platforms and interface partners.
  • Develop automation and tooling that reduces manual operation of the Azure environment.
  • Support application and data teams with Azure service design, implementation patterns, and troubleshooting.
  • Own availability, performance, and resilience for the Azure services in scope, and be accountable for how they behave in production.
  • Lead root cause analysis and durable remediation for Azure platform incidents affecting production applications.
  • Maintain, document, and test disaster recovery and failover procedures for owned services.
  • Design and tune for real load characteristics, including concurrency, contention, throughput, and latency.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability so service health is visible.
  • Define and maintain availability, recovery, and performance targets for owned services.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field
Equivalent professional experience
