Job summary

SHI International Corp. seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead Azure-based cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and automation on SHI's internal Product Team.

You will implement IaC with Terraform, automate with Python and Bash, and containerize with Docker and Kubernetes, mentoring junior engineers and establishing architectural standards. You will collaborate with development, DevOps, and security to deliver scalable, cost-effective cloud-native solutions while enforcing governance and best

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of cloud infrastructure experience with expertise in Microsoft Azure
• Experience designing Terraform modules and managing IaC pipelines at scale
• Proficiency in Python and Bash for automation
• Production experience with Jenkins and GitHub Actions pipelines
• Docker and Kubernetes expertise for containerized apps
• Strong knowledge of Azure IAM, RBAC, and cloud security principles
• Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring junior engineers
• Agile/Scrum environment experience and roadmapping skills
• Willingness to travel to SHI events and customer sites

Responsibilities

• Lead Azure-based cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and automation with a focus on scalability and cost optimization.
• Architect reusable Terraform modules and IaC frameworks.
• Develop automation in Python and Bash for provisioning and configuration.
• Maintain Linux shell scripts for orchestration and automation workflows.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins and GitHub Actions, including Groovy scripts.
• Build and maintain Docker and Kubernetes environments for production deployments.
• Lead incident responses and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with software and DevOps teams to translate requirements into secure cloud architectures.
• Establish cloud security governance and best practices.
• Create architecture diagrams, runbooks, and technical standards.
• Mentor junior cloud engineers and guide technical direction.
• Evaluate Azure services and emerging tooling for automation and containers.
• Drive continuous improvement in infrastructure efficiency and performance.
